Several days ago, vice president and board member Gene Gollogly celebrated his birthday (October 4). It was a “milestone birthday.”
Gene’s work for AMHF occurs largely behind the scenes. The directors are grateful, Gene, for your extensive culture and for your knowledge of the book-publishing and not-for-profit worlds; for your many influential contacts in business, science, and the arts. As we began to rebuild our program, upon the death of Dr. de Schill, Gene has been one of the central figures in setting AMHF on the right path with respect to its research mission. For example, as of August 2012, AMHF is funding a project, under the auspices of Astor Services, regarding early onset signs of schizophrenia and other serious psychoses.
Congratulations, Gene! The board wishes you much success in all your professional and personal endeavors.
